Refractory KNAUF-gypsum board (GKFI) consists of two layers of special cardboard with a gypsum core with reinforcing inserts, having a rectangular shape, and the side edges of the line are folded with the edges of the cardboard (face layer).

Fire-resistant KNAUF plasterboard (GKFI) is produced with various edges. The most basic of them: Straight (DK), thinned (NK), semi-circular and face-thinned (NYK).

In the preparation of the core, plaster shrinks of Q4 brand according to DÜIST 125-79 are used. Another important component of fire-resistant KNAUF-gypsum board (GKFI) is the facing board, which is attached to the core using adhesive additives. Cardboard plays the role of a reinforcing (reinforcing) frame, and is a good basis for painting any finishing material (plaster, wallpaper, paint, ceramic tiles, etc.). Due to its physical and hygienic properties, cardboard is ideally suited for residential buildings.

It differs from ordinary KNAUF-boards by making special reinforcement additions to the material of the core.

Fire-resistant KNAUF gypsum plasterboards (GKFI) are produced according to DÜIST 6266-97 and meet German standards (DIN 18 180).
