Minimalist interior design

Minimalist interior design is characterized by restraint and punctuality. The style of minimalism is achieved by using functional interior objects, with geometric shapes and a combination of two basic colors. When designing a place, it is extremely important to properly divide the space. Technical materials are widely used in interior design. These materials are usually compact, black, or gray and have a rigid geometric shape.

Some choose Japanese or Scandinavian minimalism based on their beliefs. For others, minimalism is the only way to rationally use the available square meters. Here are the main distinguishing features of this trend:

Interior design in the style of modern minimalism takes up a lot of space, so it is advisable to get rid of partitions in rooms.

Large windows are needed to saturate rooms with enough light.

The desired colors are obtained using a variety of halftones. The most common color choice is white, combined with graphic gray.

Materials: chrome steel, glass, plastic, ceramics, artificial and natural stone, textured wood.

Minimalist-style tables, sofas, furniture and chandeliers have simple geometric shapes, which allow slight bending, but not spiral.

There are no artistic designs and ornaments in this style. The walls can be decorated with several minimalist paintings.

This style is characterized by flat reflective surfaces. Each piece of furniture has precise proportions and colors.

Instead of curtains, horizontal or vertical blinds are used.

Diffused lighting is preferred in this style, and the ceiling is equipped with neon or halogen lamps.

The minimalist interior design of rooms is ideal for those who are tired of pretentiousness and yearn for elegant simplicity. To achieve this, it is necessary to abandon the decor and non-functional details. The room designed in this style is dominated by spaciousness and plenty of light.

Walls

When designing walls in the style of minimalism, it is allowed to use facing plaster, wide glossy tiles, wallpaper. Walls can also be made of glass, concrete, or embossed natural stone.

Minimalist ceiling

The ceiling should not burden the interior and be bulky. For this reason, the use of complex elements in-ceiling design is unacceptable. It is best to paint it in a light color, giving it an even texture or install a stretch ceiling. With a large room area, multi-level ceilings can come in handy.

Floor

The best way to express laconicism in the interior is to use patterned floors in natural tones. There are several options for flooring: laminate, polymer coating, parquet, plain carpet, self-leveling floor and porcelain stoneware tiles. Different rooms allow different coverage. Long pile carpets will create a comfortable look in your bedroom.

Interior lighting design

Not a single decoration of apartments in Baku is complete without lighting design. Light is an important detail with which you can hide the imperfections of space, expand it and generally create an atmosphere of comfort.
